This Privacy Policy describes how Shanmukha Ram Kumar ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses and shares information when you use the JSR mobile application ("JSR", the "App").
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password (stored securely via our authentication provider).
- Profile information: any optional profile details, photo, or display name you choose to provide.
- Communications: messages, call requests, and any content you choose to send through the App.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system, app version, and language settings.
- Usage data: diagnostic and crash logs used to detect and fix bugs.
- Push notification token: a unique identifier issued by Apple (APNs) or Google (FCM) used solely to deliver notifications to your device.
1.3 Real-time audio and video
When you make or receive a voice or video call, audio and (if enabled) video are transmitted in real time to the other party using LiveKit. We do not record calls and we do not store call media on our servers.
1.4 Permissions we request
- Microphone: required for voice and video calls.
- Camera: required for video calls.
- Notifications: required to alert you of incoming calls and messages.
- Speaker / audio output: required to play call audio and in-app sounds.
You can revoke any of these permissions at any time from your device settings.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate and maintain the App's core features (account, calling, messaging, notifications).
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To deliver push notifications you have asked to receive.
- To diagnose problems, prevent abuse and improve reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

4. Data retention
We retain account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent).

6. Children's privacy
JSR is not directed to children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls on our backend. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International data transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union, where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised.
